Tools for building, running, and scheduling AI agents.

Small, self-contained tools that came out of running agents every day. Each one does one job well, runs on your own machine, and has a live page you can open right now.

Tools

One card per tool. Open it, or read it.

Every repository is public, and every tool with a web front end has a live page on this domain. The tools run locally; the pages show them working.

Workspace

Project Hub

Turns a CLI-agent workspace into a browsable local console: every repo, its git status, documents and agent tools, with live previews.

$ cd roundtable
$ python -m venv .venv

Automation

AI Automation Recipes

48 scheduled Claude Code automations that research, write, build, draw and compose: games, stories, comics, songs, podcasts and digests. Each one is a template you import into Cronsole, its free companion; experimental, with 13 of 48 live-tested.

MITpython48 recipes
Quick start
# Python 3.10+; needs the claude CLI signed in
$ git clone https://github.com/ai-automation-tools/ai-automation-recipes.git
$ cd ai-automation-recipes
$ pip install -r requirements.txt
$ python recipes/short-story/run.py
$ python scripts/build_viewer.py --serve   # browse at localhost:8000
Desktop

Houston

A Windows desktop app that puts a browser, PowerShell terminals and a sidebar over your project folders into one Electron window. Its MCP server and chat panel let an agent open tabs, read pages and run commands, and every command waits for your click.

GPL-3.0electronwindows
Quick start
# Windows 11, Node.js 24, PowerShell 7; Project Hub running for the sidebar (see the README)
$ git clone https://github.com/ai-automation-tools/houston.git
$ cd houston
$ npm install
$ npm start
Security

CloakScan

A Chrome extension that scans the tab you're on for text hidden from you but readable by an AI agent: color-matched, off-screen, shrunk, aria-hidden, comments and zero-width characters. It runs on click, holds three permissions and makes no network calls.

MITchromemanifest v3
Quick start
# Node 22+; then chrome://extensions, Developer mode, Load unpacked, dist/extension/ (see the README)
$ git clone https://github.com/ai-automation-tools/cloakscan.git

Services the repositories document or integrate with, for reaching, wiring up and hosting them. None is required, and none is affiliated.

TailscaleRemote access tailscale.com A private network between your own devices. Reach Cronsole and the other local-first apps from a phone or another machine without opening a port. HTTP ShortcutsShortcuts http-shortcuts.rmy.ch Android app that turns an HTTP request into a home-screen button. Point one at a Cronsole task to run it with a tap. ntfyNotifications ntfy.sh Push notifications over plain HTTP, hosted or self-hosted. Send task results and app alerts to your phone or desktop. n8nAutomation n8n.io Workflow automation you can self-host. Chain the tools here with webhooks, schedules and a few hundred other services. About

Reusable pieces of a working AI setup.

Everything here started as something built to solve an actual problem, like keeping an agent's context small, seeing a whole workspace at a glance, or knowing what runs at 4 a.m. It was cleaned up afterwards so someone else could use it. Issues and pull requests are welcome on any repository.

Local-firstThe tools run on your machine. The pages here only show them working.
No telemetryNothing phones home. The consent banner gates the one optional script.
No required serviceIf a tool needs a key, it is yours and it stays with you.
